UX & UI design
Project B is an initiative designed to help people foster a regular meditation practice using weekly prompts. I was asked to design a mobile experience that would complement the, already available, deck of printed cards.
To design a beautiful, intuitive mobile application that would compliment the printed cards and build on the overall experience.
I conducted an initial discovery workshop to understand the project scope, target audience, branding and core values.
Wireframes were created to map out the architecture, followed by a low-fidelity prototype that was tested with a small group of people. This design revolved around mimicking the physical cards, trying to capture the experience of actually holding a card in your hand, but it soon became apparent that the mobile application needed to build on the experience, not just mimic it.
A new design was chosen and developed into a high-fidelity prototype that was tested with the same user-group. Feedback from this group helped to shape the core experience.

“After our first meeting I had such a firm resolve that Dave was the UX designer to help create my app from idea to implementation.
He was involved in every aspect of the design process of the app. His knowledge, skill, experience and thoughtful communication lifted the app beyond my wildest dreams.”
Project B’s brand uses four distinct colours that represent four categories. They are; Body, Connection, Mind-Spirit and Practical.
Each colour is quite dominant so finding a way to represent them on screen was quite a challenge. Thankfully having four categories also meant that it was easy to break out the information into meaningful sections.
